A race of wild-eyed bird women with large albatross wings on their backs and claws for hands. They are beautiful beings who are compelled to sing, luring any who listen to become obsessed and race towards them. This almost universally leads to the listener's death as they run as fast as they can into any obstacle between them. Unlike in mythology, where sirens drew sailors into crashing into reefs, sirens of Cordelia have only been known to live on land or in the air.
Sirens are not naturally hostile, truly wishing to connect with those bewitched by their voices. Stephanie, the siren that Bellow encounters in It's A Calling, claims to be the only siren who has successfully lured another creature to her.
All sirens are roughly the same age, having been born from a single, giant egg. They speculate that mating with another creature would create a second giant egg, but this has never happened. While they all were hatched together, they still form families amongst themselves and will treat older sirens as their mothers.
